Cameroonian international who signed in April 2007 after initially joining on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow.
The Royals paid in excess of £1million for his services, and he had impressed in a central defender's role, while he also lined up in the centre of midfield on occasion.
Injury to Ibrahima Sonko allowed him an extended run in the team, and he belied his youth to put in some top performances. Scored his first Premier League goal in the 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea in August 2007.
Played for Cameroon in the summer 2008 Olympics in Beijing, having lined up in the African Cup Of Nations earlier in the year.
