Midfielder who joined Reading's Academy from Wycombe Wanderers. Has an eye for goal and is a driving force from the middle of the park.
He has played a number of games for Ireland's youth sides right up to under 21 level, and was regularly captain when in our Academy setup.
He began his playing experience with a short loan at Yeading, then flourished on loan at Aldershot in 2007/8, scoring ten goals as they won the Blue Square Premier. He then spent another season on loan with the Shots, this time netting 13 times in League Two.
He began the 2009/10 in Reading's first team under Brendan Rodgers, and scored a superb free kick past Petr Cech in a pre-season friendly against Chelsea. He soon moved to Wycombe on loan to gain further experience, and again got time under his belt with a four-game loan spell at Yeovil Town.
At the start of the 2010/11 campaign he again moved to Wycombe on a loan basis.
