Dominant centre back who signed his first professional deal in late 2006 after coming through the Academy. First spotted by our scouts while with Oxford at age 12.
Has a strong aerial presence, and also loves to score. Made his Royals debut in the FA Cup win over Burnley, and quickly got to grips with the physical presence of Adi Akinbiyi in an impressive appearance.
Joined Northampton on loan in early 2007, and notched his first professional goal while at Sixfields. Later played for both Bournemouth and Norwich on loan.
Came into our first team in August 2008 following the sale of Ibrahima Sonko to Stoke and enjoyed a good few games, then later moved to Southampton on loan.
Although born in England, he has been rewarded with Scottish under 21 call-ups.
