Mercurial Mali international winger who is one of the best wingers in the Championship and scorer of the fastest goal in our history.
He had been on loan at Boulogne in the French Second Division when Brian McDermott spotted him, and we quickly moved to sign him permanently from parent club Lens in January 2008.
He made an instant debut as a sub at Everton in the Premier League, and remained a regular member of our squad.
In the latter part of the 2009/10 season he exploded into life under McDermott's management, scoring 11 goals in 25 appearances, having only notched 3 in the previous two years.
His goal at home to West Brom in the FA Cup came went down as the fastest in our history as he scored after only nine seconds, and he ended the season second in our player of the season vote.
Those sparkling displays continued into the following season, as the Malian bagged nine times throughout the campaign - again picking up second place in the end of season supporters voting.
He has experience at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.
