Irish frontman who signed from Cork City in the summer of 2008.
He was player of the year in 2007 in Ireland after finishing as the league's top scorer, and was also the current Irish top goalscorer at the moment he joined Reading, halfway through their season.
He began his playing days with Shamrock Rovers, lining up with Noel Hunt. He then moved to Longford before Cork.
He found it difficult to break into our first team ahead of the likes of Kevin Doyle, Shane Long and Simon Church, and therefore went out on loan to gain further experience, most notably at Charlton, scoring in the League One play-off semi-final at the end of the 2009/10 campaign.
At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he joined Colchester United on a loan deal running until 3rd January.
