Full Q&A for Royals QuickPay

Posted on: Thu 12 Mar 2009

Reading Football Club has announced that QuickPay, the cashless payment system that has been operating on a trial basis at some refreshment kiosks in parts of the Upper West Stand concourse, will be withdrawn at the end of the current season.

If you cannot find the help you need within the list of Questions & Answers below, please email us on royalsquickpay@readingfc.co.uk or call 0844 249 1871

1. Why are Reading FC withdrawing QuickPay?
The trial has seen an improvement in the speed of service and the system may be considered again in the future, however at the present time a full roll-out is not a priority.

2. Will I still be able to make purchases using my card?
Yes, you will be able to pay with a mixture of card and cash on any transaction for all remaining home games this season.

Please note, you are no longer able to top up your card with cash, and are advised to use your card at remaining home games in order to run down your account balance.

3. How do I obtain a refund?
If you still have a cash balance at the end of the season you will be able to apply for a refund by using our refund form. The usual £1 admin fee will be waived.

4. How do I know the balance on my card?
You can check the balance at one of the QuickPay machines on the concourse.

5. What do I do if I have any problems?
On matchdays please contact a Steward, a catering staff member or one of the QuickPay team with any problems. Outside of matchdays please email royalsquickpay@readingfc.co.uk, or call 0844 249 1871.

6. What happens to my QuickPay top up if I lose my Reading FC Season Ticket/Member card?
If your Reading FC Season Ticket/Member card is lost or stolen, your cash is protected if you report it to the Ticket Office immediately either in person or by calling 0844 249 1871 . Once you have reported the issue, your card will be deactivated both for QuickPay and for stadium entry and any fraudulent purchases made after you have reported the loss will be refunded.

7. What happens if my Reading FC Season Ticket/Member card stops working?
Contact one of the the Reading FC Customer Support Staff outside the stadium (identified by their red jackets) who will be able to advise what to do.
