Late defeat in Ipswich clash

Posted on: Tue 25 Sep 2007

Reversing the fortunes of the first team this weekend, the Royals under 18s conceded a late goal to suffer a 2-1 defeat at Ipswich on Saturday.

The Royals started brightly in the National Academy League fixture, but Ipswich went ahead with a set piece goal.

Eamonn Dolan's side drew level when Gary Frewen and Harrison Bayley combined well for substitute Kelvin Bossman to finish.

The game seemed to be heading for a draw until a goalmouth scramble resulted in a winning goal for the Tractor Boys.
