Our under 18s were beaten 4-1 by league leaders Aston Villa at the weekend.

Andreas Weimann opened the scoring for the Villa, and Nathan Delfouneso made it 2-0.

Jahson Downes, on as a first half sub, scored his first Reading goal in injury time, reducing the arrears.

But Weimann notched again, and Delfouneso got his second to comeplete the scoring.

Reading remain fifth in their Academy group table.
