Posted on: Tue 18 Mar 2008

The Royals under 18s were edged out 1-0 at home to Arsenal on Saturday.

A last minute penalty from James Dunne consigned Eamonn Dolan's boys to a narrow defeat.

Substitute Kim Wonsik had been penalised for handball, and Dunne stepped up to stroke past Alex McCarthy in the Reading goal.

Reading: McCarthy; Spence, J Kelly, P Cox (Wonsik 60), Mitchell; Hateley (Webb 20), Sigurdsson, Taehee, Frewen; Bossman, Illugason (Vasilev 68)
Subs: Dongwon, Downes

We take on West Ham United away from home this weekend.

We only have a total of three more games this season, with Chelsea at home and Charlton away to follow.

We are likely to finish fourth or fifth in our ten-team Academy league. In the FA Youth Cup we lost at home to Manchester City, and they have now gone on to reach the final.
