Under 18s beat Chelsea

Posted on: Mon 07 Apr 2008

Our under 18s earned a 2-1 home win against Chelsea at Hogwood Park on Saturday.

Eamonn Dolan's team were 1-0 up inside two minutes, with Ashley Mitchell turning home from close range.

Chelsea are in the middle of their two legs of the FA Youth Cup semi final, and we further extended our lead midway through the first half.

Gylfi Sigurdsson was the goalscorer, stroking home a penalty to extend our advantage.

Nikki Ahamed gave Chelsea hope not long before the break, but we went on to take all three points.
