Watch Walcott's goal for England

Posted on: Fri 20 Mar 2009

Reading's Jacob Walcott was away with England's under 17s over the last couple of weeks, and he scored an important late winner that is available to watch free online now.

Walcott notched a 77th minute winner in a 1-0 victory over Israel, scoring just five minutes after coming off the bench. U17s games are just 80 minutes long so it was a very important time to score.

The goal and an interview with Jacob are online now at thefa.com by following this link.

Jacob was joined in the squad by another Reading player Abdulai Baggie, who also played his part.

The lads were playing in a mini-tournament across the south of England in which they played Portugal, Israel then Italy.

They lost 2-1 to Portugal, with Walcott starting the game and hitting the post late on. Baggie come on with 15 minutes left.
