The Royals' under 18s picked up their first win in six games with a 4-1 away win against Bristol City on Saturday.

After five straight losses this win was a real fillip to Eamonn Dolan's side and replicates the same scoreline by which our first team and reserves beat the Robins in recent weeks.

Reading were two up by half time. Kelvin Bossman scored on 27 minutes then fellow striker Radoslav Vasilev doubled the advantage a minute before the break.

City's Rob Stambolziev reduced the deficit after the break, but we stretched the lead on 84 with a Bossman penalty, then Gary Frewen scored again two minutes later.

Under 16s midfielder Frankie Raymond made his first start at this level, while Nick Arnold was a debutant in the second half, coming off the bench. Triallist Abayomi Seymour continued at left back.

Reading: Locke; Joyce (Arnold 79), Seymour, Cox, Kamdjo (c); Goddard, Raymond (Baggie 75), Frewen, Walcott; Bossman, Vasilev (White 72)
Subs: Pritchard, Stockinger
