U18s lose out to strong Spurs

Posted on: Tue 03 Nov 2009

Reading U18s  were defeated by a talented Tottenham Hotspur side on Saturday morning, as Spurs made it seven wins in eight games with a 4-0 victory.

The North Londoners fielded an extremely strong side, with million pound star signing John Bostock lining up in midfield.

Harry Kane opened the scoring after 15 minutes, and despite a hard working display early in the game the Royals found themselves three goals down at the break as Paul Jose Mpoku bagged a brace before half time.

Any hopes of an unlikely comeback were dashed as John Goddard was harshly dismissed midway through the half, and Ryan Fredericks completed the scoring for the visitors ten minutes before the break.
