Royals under-18s returned to action after almost six weeks of weather related postponements, to defeat Bristol City 4-2 in the FA Premier Academy League.

Eamonn Dolan's men were two goals up at the break after Robins defender Ryan Brunt steered the ball into his own net, before Nick Arnold neatly finished off a breakaway move to double Reading's lead.

City's Danny Ball rifled home a volley to give the home side some hope after 55 minutes, but goals in the last quarter of the game from Oliver Kelly and Lawson D'Ath ensured that Henry Muggeridge's late strike was nothing more than a consolation.
