Back to back wins for young Royals

Posted on: Sat 06 Feb 2010

Eamonn Dolan's Royals made it back to back Academy wins with a 1-0 victory over Coventry City.

Centre half Jack Mills bagged the only goal of the game, powering home a header ten minutes after the break to chalk up a season double over the Sky Blues.

Oliver Kelly came close to doubling the lead moments later as he drew a smart save from City 'keeper Michael Quirke, and any hope of a Coventry comeback was dashed as midfielder Suleiman Leluu received his marching orders in the final ten minutes.

Coventry City: Quirke, Christie, Greenway, Bottomer, (Thomas 71), Cameron, Adams, Blackwell, Grogan, Wilson, Leluu, Grandison (Gudger)
Subs: Ruffels, Bigirimana, Phillips

Reading: Locke, Arnold, Macdonald, Mills, Isaac, Godard, Kelly, Rowe, Harding, Taylor, Bell-Baggie
