The Royals came out on top with an extraordinary 7-4 victory over Watford this past weekend, thanks to hat tricks from both Abdulai Bell-Baggie and Jake Taylor.
Reading were three goals up in eight minutes, with Jordan Obita opening the scoring within 60 seconds. Taylor had bagged his hat trick just three minutes after the break, whilst Abdulai Bell Baggie struck twice within in four second half minutes to add to his first half opener.
Manager Eamonn Dolan said: "
You don't often see games like that. I saw one report in the local paper that said it was against Watford U16's, when in actually fact they were playing third years so you always get the youth propaganda going out!
"But what we've been doing recently is scoring lots and lots of goals. David Dodds has been doing a lot of work on the offensive side of the game and that's really coming to fruition. We're now in a little block where we need to look at defending."
Reading XI: Locke, Goddard, Isaac, Raymond (Harding 75), Macdonald, McHugh, Bell-Baggie, Kelly, Taylor (Ugwu 64), D'Ath (Rowe 80), Obita
