Royal visit goes off superbly

Posted on: Sun 01 Jul 2007

Her Royal Highness the Countess Of Wessex was at Madejski Stadium today, and her visit went exceptionally well.

The Countess chose to come to Madejski Stadium after hearing about the work of the Royal Families charity group, and she offered advice and support to the hard-working wives and girlfriends.

Upon arrival, the Countess was greeted by Chairman John Madejski and introduced to Club representatives, as well as Karen Murty and Amanda Hahnemann from the Royal Families.

She then met ladies from PACT and Berkshire Women's Aid, two of the charities that are benefiting from money raised.

After chatting for almost an hour, she was presented with a bouquet and signed ball by two youngsters.

The Countess was quick to praise the Royal Families before she left, saying, "Congratulations to all of you. You are doing a wonderful job, keep it going.

"Keep up the good work, good luck with all your events, I am sure they will be a huge success, many thanks."
