Sandford Springs Golf Day nets £12k

Posted on: Sun 01 Jul 2007

The Royal Families Golf Day was a great success on Wednesday 25th April as our players and staff enjoyed themselves in aid of very worthy causes.

The event took place at Sandford Springs golf course, and was completely sold out, with funds going to PACT and Berkshire Women's Aid.

The Royal Families had already raised in excess of £100,000 this season, and this event will add a further £12,534 to the total.

Boss Steve Coppell said, "I was superb, the rest of my team let me down!

"It was a great day, the wives do a terrific job, and I think when they started they could never have imagined how big it would become.

"The money that has been raised is a great compliment to them."

There was a hole in one scored by Nigel Grant, son of kit man Ron.
