The players and management helped to raise more than £5,000 at the Royal Families Golf Day on Wednesday.

The event took place at Sandford Springs, south of Newbury, and it was a great success from all perspectives.

Ivar Ingimarsson was part of the winning team, alongside Nigel Grant, son of Royals kit man Ron.

Andre Bikey was clearly the worst player on show, and rumour has it that he tried to use a tee when taking a shot on the green! It's fair to say he'd never played the game before though!

Sal Bibbo won the longest drive, with Nigel Grant getting straighest drive and Graham Cox getting nearest the pin.

The afternoon auction raised more money, with Coppell buying a signed Paul Casey driver, Marcus Hahnemann splashing out on dinner for six and a limo ride.

Steve Beswick of Microsoft paid £380 for the chance to sit in on the 2008/9 RFC team photo, and he also won the raffle for a laptop!
