Jack Stephen Brown is our first Young Royals winner!
Jack entered the competition to be a mascot for the Royals first team, and his name was this week picked out as the winner!
He will now lead Graeme Murty and the rest of the Reading players out at Madejski Stadium before our home game against Newcastle later this month.
"Jack is almost 4 and a half years old and joined the Young Royals because he was intrigued as to why his daddy got so excited about going to see his football team," Jack's mum explains.
"So he went along with us one week and has never looked back since.
"He now goes to every home game, provided it is before his bedtime and he loves to see Kingsley at every game.
"He also enjoys calling out, in his loudest voice, 'Sonko is SUPERMAN' - even if Sonko is not actually playing!!"
"He is so looking forward to being a mascot, as he has watched in wonder, week after week, as the other young children have walked through the tunnel, onto the pitch, hand in hand with the players.
"He kept asking us when it would be his turn, and thankfully the Young Royals competition has given him his chance.
"We are so pleased for him that he has won and know that he is going to have the most fabulous day, which he will always remember. Thank you."
And in case you're interested, Jack reckons the Royals will win 2-1 against the Magpies. Let's hope he's a lucky mascot!
