80 lucky Young Royals enjoyed a fantastic day last week when they won the chance to attend an exclusive RFC Soccer School in the Academy Indoor Training Centre. The day began at 9am with registration and the young footballers soon had balls at their feet as our team of UEFA-trained professional Community Trust coaches led them through a series of football skills sessions and mini games.

After lunch, the competition winners got the chance to meet Royals centre-back Sam Sodje - who was happy to answer the fans' questions and sign matchday programmes for each of them! Kingsley rarely misses out on a Young Royals event and he presented awards to the children at the end of the session.

It was a great day for all involved and we received some great feedback from the parents:

'Thank you very much for organising today - the boys really enjoyed themselves (albeit sweaty and dirty!) and are now ready for the new season.'

'Matthew has had an absolutely fantastic time today - so much so that he said he wished he could go to a session like that every week! Many thanks for organising this - he thoroughly enjoyed it.'
