Winners visit players in training

Posted on: Thu 18 Feb 2010
The Royals first team were met by ten lucky Young Royals at training yesterday as ten competition-winners met the first team stars at Hogwood Park.

Anna Nash, Jack Cooper, Mark Everett, James Fletcher, Sam Harlowe, Antoine Davies, Ryan Funnell, Danielle Waters, Jamie Smith and Jamie Newman all won an exclusive visit to the Royals' training base, where the whole squad signed autographs and had pictures taken with the youngsters.

The 2008/9 ball person team were also invited to the event as a thank you for their support during last season's campaign.

"It's nice to have the young fans come down and watch us train," vice captain Alex Pearce explained. "To see youngsters showing their support, even though things are tough at the moment, is great! It has certainly given the boys a bit of a lift."
