A young full back with plenty of attacking ability who joined the Royals from Southampton in August 2011.
Instantly recognisable to Reading fans as the younger brother of former captain Matt Mills, Joseph progressed through the Saints' youth academy before making his first team debut in a Carling Cup clash with Birmingham in 2008.
Went on to shine in loan spells with Scunthorpe and Championship side Doncaster Rovers, for whom he scored his first professional goal - ironically against the Iron at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Proved to be stiff competition for the experienced Ian Harte in the 2011/12 campaign as the pair battled it out for the left back slot - with Mills racking up a number of impressive displays before falling out of the side through injury at the turn of the year.
