Welsh international forward who is equally adept as a wide man and up front; having come through the ranks in our Academy to become a key part of our first team squad.

He had his first involvement with the first team when he travelled with the squad for the Peace Cup in Korea in the summer of 2007, and started against Argentinian giants River Plate.

Like many of our young players, he gained invaluable experience while out on loan, lining up for Southend in two separate spells and also making a very good impression with a period at Swindon Town.

Made his Reading debut on the opening day of the 2009/10 season against Nottm Forest, and then lined up in our next game against Newcastle at St James' Park. He continued to feature for the remainder of the campaign, and won a vital penalty at home to Plymouth late in the year with some superb ability.

He had experience for England's youth teams, but toward the end of the season he broke into the Wales u21 squad, and then made his debut for the full Welsh side in a friendly right at the end of the campaign, a fantastic step in his continued development.

Amid plenty of interest in his signature he penned a new long-term contract at Madejski Stadium in the summer of 2011, recognition of his importance to the club.

The promising midfielder certainly played his part in Reading's 2011/12 promotion season, featuring in almost every game - and notching up four goals including goal of the season contenders against Peterborough and Millwall.

Also further established himself on the international scene - representing his country against the likes of Montenegro, Norway and Mexico.
