Osano is a versatile powerhouse defender who came through the Royals’ Academy system but only managed to make two substitute appearances for our first team.
Kenya-born, he arrived in England at the age of nine and played his sole Madejski Stadium game as an impressive extra time substitute for John Oster in a dramatic 3-2 FA Cup win over West Bromwich Albion in January 2006.
His only other senior appearance came at St Andrew’s in the same competition the following season, swapping for James Harper in the last minute of another 3-2 victory for Steve Coppell’s men.
After loan spells at Woking and Aldershot, Osano left Reading to sign for Rushden & Diamonds the following summer, where he became a regular.
He made 160 League starts for the Diamond, scoring his first and only career goal – it came in a 4-0 win over Altrincham in November 2008.
After his success with the Conference National side spells with Luton and AFC Wimbledon followed.
