Reading Football Club were pleased to announce that 17-year-old Ethan Bristow agreed to a professional deal as a Royal in October 2019, completing paperwork on his first professional contract to commit his future to the club until 2021.
Still in the second year of his scholarship, Bristow represented our Under-23s twice the previous season and continued to impress in 2019-20.
And the left-sided 17-year-old defender earned his first Under-23s minutes in a 5-0 thrashing of Swansea City - coming off the bench to replace Adam Liddle at the Madejski in mid-September 2019.
His first team debut came in the Carabao Cup win over Colchester United in the first game of the 2020-21 season.
