Joining the Royals on loan from Norwich in January 2019, Oliveira’s impact on the pitch proved vital – goals against Bolton, Blackburn and Ipswich all helped towards the 47 points tally that was enough to secure Championship football for the following season.

He started his career in Portugal with Benfica and scored in the Champions League against Zenit to send the Lisbon club in to the last-eight.

He had loan spells in La Liga and Ligue 1 before arriving in England on loan with Swansea in the Premier League.

He made the permanent move to Norwich in 2016 where he netted 15 goals across the first team and U23’s Football League Trophy campaign. Included in that tally was two goals in both games against Reading and a hat-trick against Derby to start the New Year.

Oliveira joined Reading on loan in January 2019 and scored a penalty on his debut against Bolton a week later. He scored the winner against Blackburn in the final five minutes at Madejski Stadium just before Valentine’s Day, then grabbed a third on the road against Ipswich at Portman Road.

The Portuguese front man has also represented his country on a handful of occasions, including being part of the Euro 2012 squad that made it to the semi-final stage.
