6’4”striker with a turn of pace and an eye for goal, Rowan spent four years in America on a football scholarship, making name for himself at Georgia’s Thomas University.
He won a host of awards, including the Sun Conference Player of the Year, which covers Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
Upon returning to the UK he set about making his way in the English game, signing for Isthmian Premier League side Billericay. After scoring 22 goals for the side between November and April of the 2014/15 season, the 22-year-old front man signed a two-year contract with the Royals the following summer.
Having scored on numerous occasions for the U21s, Liburd made his senior Reading debut on 7th November 2015, replacing Ola John during an away trip to the Cardiff City stadium. His Madejski Stadium unveiling came when he was introduced as a substitute against Brentford in our last fixture of the 2015 calendar year.
