Lewis Baker

A Midfielder for Chelsea, he joined the London club at the age of nine. Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons were where Baker plied his trade before joining Dutch club Vitesse on loan in 2015.

In his first season abroad, he made 31 appearances in the Eredivisie scoring three goals, then following on the next season he scored a brace against Sparta Rotterdam to send Vitesse to the KNVB Cup final for the first time in twenty-seven years.

He played in the final against AZ Alkmaar as memories of runners-up for the past three years were put to bed with a 2-0 win and the first in the clubs’ 125-year history.

On the international stage, he scored for England in the final of the Toulon Tournament as the Three Lions beat France 2-1 to obtain the trophy – four goals throughout secured Baker with the Golden Boot. 

Having been promoted from League One with the Dons during his time at Stadium MK, Baker returned to the Championship with Middlesbrough for a season in 2017/18.

14 appearances for Leeds transpired before a loan move to RG2 where he made his Madejski Stadium unveiling against Nottingham Forest in January.

He notched his first goal in blue and white hoops at the KCOM Stadium in Hull to begin April and ended the season with 18 games under his belt as a Royal.
