Modou Barrow

Date of birth

After joining the Royals from Swansea City in the summer of 2017, Mo Barrow became an instant fans' favourite in RG2.

With 10 goals to his name in his debut season, Barrow showed himself to be one of the first names on the team-sheet for the Royals with the combination of his pace and finishing ability.

He was recognised by Reading fans by finishing runner-up to Liam Moore in the 2017-18 Be Wiser Fans' Player of the Season vote as well.

Barrow also topped the list for number of assists for the Royals in his first season, providing the vital touch for eight extra goals for Reading.

The Gambia international started his playing career in Scandinavia, notably scoring 23 times in 19 appearances for Swedish outfit Mjölby Södra.

Successful spells at a handful of Scandinavian sides followed before Swansea came calling for his services in 2014.

He was in and out of the Swansea team throughout his time in Wales, but was often making an impact off the bench when called upon.

He has enjoyed a season of regular football at Madejski Stadium, reaping the benefits of playing time and contributing significantly to on-field successes for the Royals.
