Situated near to Junction 11 of the M4, in the heart of Berkshire and a short hop from the centre of Reading, Madejski Stadium is ideally located for supporters on matchdays and for visitors to the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, the Millennium Madejski Hotel, our Fanstore and our Ticket Office throughout the week.
Visitors on non-matchdays are welcome to park in our ample parking facilities at Madejski Stadium free of charge.
On Reading FC matchdays, we have paid parking available at Madejski Stadium, as well as several alternatives such as Park & Ride schemes, football buses from the surrounding area, taxis and bicycle racks.
Reading Football Club
Junction 11, M4
- By road: From Junction 11 of the M4, follow signs towards Reading. Madejski Stadium is on your left-hand side after less than a mile. For SatNav systems, our postcode is RG2 0FL.
- By rail: The nearest railway station is Reading, which is connected directly to major cities across the UK and many local towns. From there, take the 50A Greenwave Park & Ride bus that takes you directly to the Stadium, with an average journey time less than 10 minutes. Alternatively, a taxi from the railway station or town centre to Madejski Stadium should cost approximately £10.
- By air: The nearest airport is London Heathrow. From there, you can take the RailAir bus (boarding at Stand 9 in Terminal 5, or Heathrow Central Bus Station (CBS) from stands 6-15a) which terminates at Reading railway station. Then follow the instructions above to connect from the railway station to Madejski Stadium.
Seasonal Parking Permits
Most parking spaces at Madejski Stadium are reserved for Seasonal Parking Permit holders. Prices are as follows:
- Red Car Park: £230
- Disabled (Orange) Car Park: £90
To purchase a Seasonal Parking Permit in the Red Car Park, book online through our Ticket Office page or by ringing 0118 968 1313.
We are currently operating a waiting list for Seasonal Parking Permits in the Disabled (Orange) Car Park. It costs £10 to join the waiting list, which will be refunded when you are offered a space or choose to leave the waiting list. You must be a Season Ticket holder to join the waiting list. To join the waiting list for the Disabled Car Park, please ring 0118 968 1313.
It costs £10 for a Matchday Permit for league fixtures in Car Park 3 Red Zone. This price may vary for cup fixtures and other events.
Booking in advance is the only way to guarantee a parking space on matchday, subject to availability at the time of booking. To pre-book, head to our Ticket Office page or ring 0118 968 1313. Advance booking goes off sale three working days before each fixture, in order to allow enough time for Matchday Permits to be posted. Please be aware that in most cases your Matchday Permit will be posted separately to any tickets that you purchase.
A limited number of Matchday Permits may be available on a matchday if they do not sell out in advance, at a price of £10.
A limited number of spaces will be available at a cost of £5 to disabled supporters on a first come, first serve basis on a matchday from the entrance to the Disabled (Orange) Car Park. Disabled Supporters will need to provide a valid blue badge. For Seasonal Parking Permits in the Disabled Car Park, see above.
Family parking area
If you have a child under the age of 12 in your car, you will be eligible to park in Car Park 2 Red Zone for £10. Spaces are available online through our Ticket Office page or by phoning 0118 968 1313. Parking will go off sale three working days before each fixture to allow enough time to post your permit. Please be aware that in most cases your parking permit will be posted separately to any tickets that you purchase.
As part of our commitment to attracting and retaining family groups, we are offering the first 30 parking spaces free of charge to families visiting for the first time. These must be booked at least three working days before and can be done so by calling 0118 968 1313. To qualify for this offer, match tickets must be purchased in your family's name directly through the Reading FC Ticket Office.
Coach & Minibus parking
Supporter Coach parking must be pre-booked by emailing email@example.com or by calling 0118 968 1211. Parking is free of charge for coaches but minibuses are charged at the same rate as cars.
Cars can enter the Stadium roads to drop off up to 30 minutes before kick-off but there is no designated area. Cars can also enter the stadium roads to pick up 30 minutes after the final whistle.
We have cycle racks at the top of VIP Car Park 1 where it is free to park your bike.
Please note in order to allow pedestrians and buses to exit the stadium safely cars will be held back in the stadium car parks for around 20 minutes. There can also be delays of around 45 minutes to exit the stadium complex due to the heavy flow of traffic in and around the A33.
The Millennium Madejski Hotel car park is only available to hotel guests on a matchday.

Amec Foster Wheeler, Shinfield Park & Ride: Situated just south of Junction 11 of the M4, take exit B3270 (signposted Earley) and follow yellow signs to ‘Match Reading FC Park & Ride’. The F2 Shuttle will take you to Madejski Stadium; prices are listed above. The bus stop at Madejski Stadium is at the bottom of Hurst Way roundabout.
Garrard Street: Matchday parking only available to buy in advance by clicking here. A £5 ticket will allow you to park for a maximum of 5 hours and will be available to start up to 3 hours before the scheduled kick off time and leave up to 4 hours after kick off. An £8 ticket will allow you to park for a maximum of 8 hours and will be available to start up to 3 hours before the scheduled kick off time and leave up to 7 hours after kick off.
Once you have parked you can then use the F1 Reading Station Shuttle which runs from outside Reading Station. The Service commences 2 hours before kick-off and a minimum of 12 buses run a frequent shuttle service up to 1 hour 45 minutes after the final whistle. The F1 bus stop has now been relocated to the central bus stop in between Car Park 1 and 2 on the stadium map (see 'Madejski Stadium Parking' above to view the map).
Old Greyhound Stadium: Access is off the A33 at the Bennet Road roundabout.
Cordwallis: Located opposite the Jaguar garage on Bennet Road.
ISS Facility Services: Located just off Bennet Road, near Jewson.
There are a number of buses from Reading and surrounding areas that run direct to Madejski Stadium.
Please note the last departing buses from Madejski Stadium on a matchday are:
- Buses from the greater Reading area, Reading town centre and Newbury are run by Reading Buses.
- Services from Basingstoke, Farnborough, Wokingham and Bracknell are subsidised by Reading FC and run by Stagecoach Buses.

Runs from outside Reading Station. The Service commences 2 hours before kick-off and a minimum of 12 buses run a frequent shuttle service up to 1 hour 45 minutes after the final whistle.

Travelcards, day & group tickets are not valid. Drivers do not carry change so please have exact fares prepared.
Kick off changes
The timetables published have details for games with 3pm kick off times When a fixture is moved, the timetable will move by the same amount of time, eg. for a 1pm kick off, buses simply run two hours earlier than the 3pm kick off time.
After the full time whistle, a taxi rank is situated in Northern Way.
The nearest railway station to Madejski Stadium is Reading. From the station you can take a Greenwave Park & Ride service. Greenwave does not leave from the Old Bus Station. These run from the North interchange on Mondays to Fridays but on Saturdays will run from Station Road stop EF instead.
Please note that there is ample town centre parking for access to these buses - Garrard Street, Vastern Road and Broad Street Mall are all within easy walking distance of the Station Hill bus stop.
The club are actively seeking to provide even more convenient matchday parking options for our supporters and are in discussions with a number of sites about an agreement for parking provision going forward.
