Whether you have been attending since the Elm Park era, or whether you’re heading here for the very first time, you can expect a fantastic day at the home of the Royals. On a matchday, when we open our doors to our supporters, the atmosphere ramps up and it becomes an exciting place to be.
Every game at Madejski Stadium is a little bit different. That's why it is always worth visiting the Match Preview section a couple of days before the match to see the latest info about our upcoming game.
Madejski Stadium has fantastic links to Reading town centre, the Thames Valley area, and the rest of the country via M4 Junction 11.
And we have a range of options about how to get here on matchdays. There's on-site parking at the ground, Park & Ride services and off-site car-parks, and football buses straight to the stadium.
For full information about all of your options, visit our Travel & Parking page.
There are three main ways to get your tickets for matches at Madejski Stadium:
Match ticket prices remain the same for most league fixtures, but can vary for cup matches, friendly games, play-off matches and special offers.
At most matches, it is possible to buy tickets on arrival at Madejski Stadium from the Ticket Office. However we would encourage fans to buy in advance, as in most circumstances tickets are cheaper when bought up to three hours before kick-off.
At some high-demand matches, queues at our Ticket Office on matchdays can become very long, especially on occasions where there are a large number of collections or on-the-day sales expected. Please ensure to look at the latest Ticket News for any special information about upcoming fixtures.
Most of our matches take place at either 3pm on Saturday or 8pm on midweek evenings. These are the opening times based on those kick-off times:
Close: 5.45pm (approx.)
Closes: 10pm (approx)
|Ticket Office||Opens: 9am
|Jazz Café||Opens: 12pm
|Fan Zone||1pm onwards||6pm onwards|
|Final F1 bus to Reading||5.41pm||10.41pm|
The Fun Zone and The Royal Bus outside the Eamonn Dolan Stand boast lots of activities from two hours before kick-off, and at half-time, while there are also other things going on to keep the kids entertained in the build-up to the game.
Be on the lookout for our mascots Kingsley and Queensley, inside and outside the ground. They will be on patrol, looking out for opportunities to give high-fives and have selfies taken.
For full information about the family experience, head to our Families at Reading FC section.
All supporters are invited to Madejski Stadium a little earlier on matchdays to join the matchday build up in the Fan Zone. As well as welcoming Reading fans, visiting supporters are also more than welcome to join us and mingle in a friendly atmosphere around the ground.
We have a large LED screen in the Fan Zone which will help you get into the mood for kick-off by showing a selection of Reading-related content, and where applicable, we will also screen the day's early kick-off as well.
It's also a great place to grab refreshments. Local catering business Blue Collar will have up to four different food stalls in the Fan Zone (and up to 12 stalls around the whole stadium), while West Berkshire Brewery and Heineken will be serving the drinks.
The Fan Zone is the perfect place to grab a drink and a bite to eat, chat through the score predictions and soak up the atmosphere before the big kick-off.
If you're spending a few hours with us at Madejski Stadium, you'll want to grab some refreshments.
Newly for the 2019-20 season, we were delighted to welcome local company Blue Collar to our matchday team - they provide our catering around the perimeter of the stadium, with an amazing range of options to choose from.
Jerk chicken, dry aged burgers, gourmet mac ’n’ cheese, triple cooked chips, Korean chicken, halloumi fries, vegan and veggie options, burritos, steak wraps, Greek souvlaki - just some of the mouth-watering options you'll be able to choose from. Find Blue Collar on Twitter by following @bluecollarfood where they'll keep our fans updated on the matchday menu.
Within the stadium itself, we have a range of options to choose from our concourse kiosks. You can view the Concourse Menu here.
Pick up your copy of The Royal, our matchday programme, from our sellers who are located around the ground - look out for the programme carts outside the stadium. Priced at £3 for league fixtures (variable at cup games), it is your definitive matchday companion.
Madejski Stadium offers a welcoming experience for everyone.
