Three more points to play for this weekend as we look to battle our way out of danger. A dangerous Aston Villa outfit stand in the way this Saturday.
We will be welcoming our biggest crowd of the season to Madejski Stadium this Saturday; the Royals supporters are getting behind José Gomes and his side in their numbers.
Last time out on our patch, it was a 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest. Some clinical finishing, a clean sheet and three well-merited points.
And now we'll aim to do it again when the Villans arrive in RG2. Their promotion aims have taken a bit of a dent in recent weeks, but they managed their first win in six games when they defeated Ipswich by a 2-1 scoreline in their most recent game.
Villa also have an in-form Tammy Abraham leading their line, who is currently the Championship's top scorer with 19 goals to his name.
Three on-loan players made their debuts for the Royals in midweek, with Emi Martínez, Matt Miazga and Nélson Oliveira all amongst it as Reading returned from Bolton with a point. They will all be aiming to make their Madejski Stadium bows this weekend with the visit of the Villans.
What's on

If you come to the game early, we'll be showing the early kick-off on the big screen in our Fan Zone. Tottenham Hotspur host Newcastle United in the Premier League from 12.30pm.
The Fan Zone is an ideal place to take in the pre-match atmosphere at Madejski Stadium. Thanks to our Official Pouring Rights Partner, Heineken, fans can pick up a beverage at the new location, which is named after the former Elm Park hotspot, with the area around the bar decked out in images of former and current Royals stars.
Also in the Fan Zone is Bill's Coffee - look out for the trailer and grab a bean-to-cup coffee to warm you up before the action gets going inside the ground.
Heineken will be joined at the Fan Zone by West Berkshire Brewery, our local ale partner, who will be serving their famous “Good Old Boy” once again at Madejski Stadium.
Before kick-off, we are inviting all supporters to join in a minute's applause to celebrate the life of former Reading captain Johnny Walker, who passed away recently at the age of 90. More details can be found by clicking here.
