The international break is over, and the run-in starts now in the Sky Bet Championship. Eight games remain for the outcome of the season to be decided, starting this weekend in RG2...
Reading vs Preston North End
Saturday 30th March
Sky Bet Championship
The Royals had a weekend without a match, and several players went away with their nations to do battle on the international front.
It was a good time away for Callum Harriott and Yakou Méïté, who both made their senior international debuts during the gap in league fixtures, for Guyana and the Ivory Coast respectively.
Closer to home, José Gomes and the remaining Royals have been spending their time hard at work at Hogwood, while also taking the appropriate time to recharge their batteries for a packed month ahead.
After Saturday's game against the Lilywhites, a run of six matches in 21 days awaits the Royals - with Gomes and his men hoping to start that run with a win this weekend.
The test of Preston will be a tough one, however - probably one of the hardest in the division on current form. Alex Neil's side have gone 12 games unbeaten heading into Saturday's match, including a run of six consecutive away wins.
They sit outside the Play-Offs on goal difference alone, but Reading will also hope to pick up where they left off just before the international break, having climbed out of the bottom three and lost just twice in their last ten matches.
Royals boss Gomes confirmed that both Andy Rinomhota and Sam Baldock have returned to training over the international break, but will have their fitness assessed before deciding if they can return to the squad.

There's plenty going on around Madejski Stadium before Saturday's match, especially for our younger Reading supporters.
Mother's Day is this weekend, and young Royals can say thank you to their mum by writing them a Mother's Day card on the Royal Bus - situated in the Fun Zone, adjacent to the Eamonn Dolan Stand at Madejski Stadium.
We also have Mother's Day items for sale in the Megastore, so take advantage and grab some last-minute gifts for your Royals-supporting mum.
Last but certainly not least, two of our young players - Adam Liddle and Gabriel Osho - will be at the Fun Zone from 2pm to meet and greet our young supporters.
