Jimmy out, Feds back

3 August 2012

Injury update

The Royals will welcome back Adam Federici when they travel to AFC Bournemouth for an away friendly this Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Federici has not played this pre-season as he overcame a rib problem, but he is available for selection now. Having also signed a new contract this week this is a further boost for the Australian international.

Garath McCleary is also available again after a minor ankle problem, but fellow new signing Chris Gunter is not yet ready to return.

Jimmy Kebe will not be available, and Brian McDermott has said the winger is unlikely to be fit for the opening Barclays Premier League game against Stoke. He had a scan on a hamstring injury this week and is now working with our physio team.

Jem Karacan is back in training but will not be considered, while Jason Roberts has a minor calf injury so will not be risked either.

New striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has been training at Hogwood all week so will be involved. The manager is likely to employ one team for 60 minutes and another for 30, broadly speaking reversing the sides he put out for our last friendly in Portugal.

The game kicks off at 3pm at Dean Court, and there are around 1800 tickets available to our supporters on the day. Tickets are priced: Adults £10, Concessions (under 16/over 65/disabled) £5. Royals fans will be located in one third of the East Stand stand and tickets can be bought on the turnstiles.
