Royals ready themselves for Palace

It's a great feeling returning home after a long time away - being reacquainted with familiar faces & the comforts that we all come to miss & love - and it's no different returning to Madejski Stadium after a long break without the Royals!

That's why Saturday's match will be putting smiles on the faces of thousands of Royals fans as their beloved team return to the turf of Madejski Stadium to do battle with Crystal Palace for their ultimate pre-season fixture.

It will be a great rehearsal for the upcoming Stoke game when we kick-off our return to the Barclays Premier League.

Even considering the friendly nature of the fixture, it will nonetheless hold vital importance to squad & fans; a chance to get in valuable game time ahead of a mammoth season and sure-up the team bonds. An opportunity to see new additions in action and of course to be there when the Royals emerge from the tunnel in their new 2012/13 home strip which is to be debuted.

There is a cracking video of the new kit being prepared in the home dressing room which is now on the freeview box on the homepage as well as free on our Facebook page.

With preparations for next season in full swing, there have been a number of exciting changes at the stadium; new LED advertising boarding which can be seen around the pitch perimeter, interior stadium design work is also looking incredible, plus a great deal more.

Don't miss the Royals return to their home patch - tickets available here and on the day - remember it's cheaper when buying in advance!
