What you may have missed this week
There's so much going on in the top flight - here are a number of things you may have missed in the all the excitement of Reading’s return to Premier League action!
18-year-old Royals winger Jordan Obita signed for Portsmouth on a one-month loan deal. He joined up with our ‘keeper Mikkel Andersen, who secured a similar loan deal at the south coast club, and made an instant impact.
Obita was brought on as a late substitute with Pompey losing 2-1, and scored with his first touch to rescue a point for Michael Appleton’s side.
With Andersen gaining experience out on loan, the Royals signed former Manchester City goalkeeper Stuart Taylor on a one-year deal.
The 31-year-old had been training at Reading and will provide excellent cover to Royals’ number one Adam Federici.
