When's the draw?

28 August 2012

Royals in the hat

Brian McDermott's men knocked Peterborough out of the Capital One Cup in a 3-2 win at Madejski Stadium on Tuesday night - so the Royals will be in the hat on Thursday evening when the draw for the Third Round is made.

Goals from Pavel Pogrebnyak, Chris Gunter and a Nathaniel Knight-Percival own goal helped Reading reach the next stage against Posh and the Royals will learn of their next cup opponents after the Northampton Town vs Wolverhampton Wanderers match completes the set of Second Round ties on Thursday 30th August.

The draw for the Capital One Cup Third Round will be broadcast live on Sky Sports - and Reading could come up against one of the big guns as all the Premier League sides in European competition this season, who received a bye in the Second Round, will be in the hat on Thursday evening.
Capital One Cup Third Round ties will be played on either 25th or 26th September 2012.
