RFC attend charity event

Club support Ollie Young Foundation

Reading Football Club supported the Ollie Young Foundation Charity Event in Finchampstead on Saturday 20th October.

The event, hosted by partnership club Finchampstead FC, was attended by Kingsley - who took his place between the sticks for a “Beat the Goalie” penalty shootout competition. The lucky winners walked away with RFC posters, magnets and clap banners!

The Ollie Young Foundation was set up in memory of Finchampstead FC player Ollie Young, who tragically passed away from a brain tumour earlier this year. The charity was set up by Ollie’s family with the aim to find a cure or prevention of brain tumours.

In addition, Kingsley helped start the clubs' balloon race, which saw 600 balloons released during half time of Finchampstead FC’s men’s team fixture.

The event raised a total of £3200 and saw around 350 people attend - with various other events taking place such as a Bouncy castle, coconut shy , raffle and arts and crafts fairs.
