A Royal Flush

4 October 2012

Make the most of your trip to Swansea!

Royals supporters who are making the trip to South Wales this weekend - this may well interest you!

By clicking here, you can get your hands on an online 'infographic' illustrating activities and locations to enable you to enjoy your stay in the city to the maximum!

The colourful guide - created by the Tourism Team at the City & County of Swansea - plays on our nickname of ‘The Royals’ and shows a poker hand of five of Swansea’s most popular tourist destinations.

Top tourist spots include the quaint seaside village of Mumbles, the city’s vibrant waterfront, the Liberty Stadium and The Independent-dubbed ‘supermodel of UK beaches’, Rhossili Bay on the Gower Peninsula – the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

To ensure visiting Royals feel at home in the city, the quirky graphic makes reference to the city’s six castles, part of Swansea’s rich history and heritage.

Commenting on the guide, Steve Hopkins, Tourism and Marketing Manager for City & County of Swansea said: “This is the first time Reading fans have played Swansea in the top flight and this innovative guide should ensure that visiting fans enjoy a 'Premier' stay in the city!”

For more information and advice on getting the best from a stay in the city, visiting fans are being directed to the Fan’s Corner section of the Swansea Bay website - www.visitswanseabay.com/fanscorner.
