Midfielder on the right track
Jay Tabb believes it's just a matter of time until the Royals register their first win of the Barclays Premier League season.
Reading have been ahead in three of their last league encounters and have perhaps deserved more than their points total suggests.
"I really enjoyed it - I thought the team played really well for most of the game," he said.
"We've been in winning positions a lot now and we've got to see things out and get a win on the board.”
"But it's important not to be harsh on yourself because there are positives to take from the game. It's not as if we're getting beat three of four nil every week - a win is in sight.”
Tabb performance on Saturday afternoon was warmly greeted by the Royals support, and the midfielder indicated he is ready to step up to the plate when needed – especially given the unfortunate absence of Jem Karacan.
"I knew it was going to be hard to get in the team this season. Jem's picked up an injury which is a real shame - I'm gutted for him. But that's why the gaffer has a strong squad - and I'm part of it so hopefully I'll get a few games now.
"I don't know what changes will be made on Tuesday but hopefully I'll be involved. It's another game, another chance for us to win and then we travel to QPR on Sunday.
"The moral in the squad is good because it looks like we can win games and I'm sure the first one is round the corner."
