Royals gaining experienceThe Royals have eight players out on loan at the moment gaining valuable experience, and we have an update on their progress.
Mikkel Andersen and Jordan Obita are currently out at Portsmouth in League One. Goalkeeper Mikkel has played five games between the sticks and saved a penalty as they beat Bournemouth on spot kicks in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek. Obita scored with his very first touch in a Pompey shirt when he came on at Colchester last month, and made two more appearances but a red card in his third game has hampered his progress since.
Gozie Ugwu has been stealing headlines for Yeovil, and has three goals to his name in 2(+5) games. Having come off the bench in successive League games he scored 3 goals across 12 League minutes, and also made key contributions in their 3-0 away JPT win against Bristol Rovers in midweek.
Another of our strikers Karl Sheppard has also been on target, scoring on his Accrington debut and he has now played 5(+1) times for Stanley. In the Championship, Joseph Mills has made five starts for Burnley.
Defender Angus MacDonald has played 4(+1) games for AFC Wimbledon, while Michael Hector has played 4 games for Shrewsbury but has picked up a minor injury.
In the Blue Square Premier, our striker Brett Williams has played 4(+2) games and found the back of the net in a defeat to Braintree.
