Adkins wants four wins

25 April 2013

Boss not shying away

Manager Nigel Adkins has told the players to target four wins out of our four remaining games.

The boss is aiming to finish the season as strongly as possible, saying, “We made it perfectly clear to the players after Norwich that we need to win every game.”

We must win three and draw one to have any chance of avoiding relegation, and if Aston Villa win any of their last four games then we will go down this season. The Royals will retain their focus though, and the boss added, “Let's not hide away from where we are in the division, it's always going to be a massive challenge. We're at the wrong end of the division and we won't hide from that.”

He added, “I’ve been here four games now, we've talked about a potential changing face of how we go and play the game, but ultimately it's what you do in both boxes.

“The fans are massively important. The players are working hard, we want to make sure they enjoy watching us play football, and we want to make sure we are winning.”
