D'Ath's Exeter and Hector's Cheltenham in promotion showdown

There's a Royals rivalry this weekend in the Football League - as two Reading players out on loan go head to head in a League Two promotion showdown.

Lawson D'Ath's Exeter City will host Michael Hector's Cheltenham Town this Saturday at 3pm at St James Park in Devon, with both clubs having their sights on League One next season.

The Grecians are currently just outside the play-off places in 8th - one point behind Bradford City, who currently occupy the last play-off spot. Meanwhile, visitors Cheltenham are in 5th place, just two points off an automatic promotion place.

Coincidentally, Exeter loan man Lawson scored in the reverse fixture earlier this season - but for Cheltenham! During his loan spell with the Whaddon Road, D'Ath set the Robins on their way to a 3-0 win over his current loan club. It is likely that Lawson will play alongside ex-Royal Jamie Cureton for the Grecians this weekend.

Meanwhile, Hector been putting in a number of excellent performance at the back for Cheltenham - most recently keeping a clean sheet and scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over league leaders Gillingham. His match-winning heroics earned him a place in the npower League Two team of the week.

You can watch the highlights from this game on the Football League show this Saturday night.
