Adkins on fantasticn supportRoyals manager Nigel Adkins paid tribute to our supporters, after a record was broken for the number of Reading Season Ticket Holders in a Football League season.
Fans will also travel north in their numbers for this (Saturday) afternoon's game at Bolton Wanderers, while tickets for Yeovil away have completely sold out.
"It's fantastic news for Reading Football Club to break a record for Season Ticket Holders in the Football League," Adkins told Reading FC Player.
"There are so many people who have shown an interest in Reading and want to get behind the club. We all share the same interest and goal - we want to be successful and we want to get back to the Barclays Premier League. If we stick together over the course of the season I think we'll have a good chance.
"We want to play attractive, winning football and we want to get the supporters of their seats. They pay hard earned cash and we want to give them something to cheer about during the game and send them home happy after a positive result.
Winger Garath McCleary also highlighted the importance of our supporters, who drove the Royals on to victory over Ipswich last weekend.
"Especially when we went 2-1 up against Ipswich, you could hear the support from our fans," said Garath. "It was brilliant, and hopefully home and away the fans can still bring a massive following like they have done."
Tickets are available on the day at Bolton, click here for more info.
