Players get minutes under their belts

Wales' duo Chris Gunter and Hal Robson-Kanu played for Wales last night (Wednesday) as they drew 0-0 with Stephen Kelly's Republic of Ireland.

Gunter helped the Dragons to a solid clean sheet, while Hal got an important 74 minutes under his belt. Kelly was an unused substitute for the Irish. After the game, @RobsonKanu tweeted: "Good to nearly get a full game, feeling fitter and stronger - I'm ready!"

Defender Kaspars Gorkss was captain for Latvia, and led them to a 1-1 draw away in Estonia.

USA beat Bosnia 4-3 in a friendly, and Danny Williams was involved with the squad but did not feature.

A couple of young Royals were in action on Tuesday night - defender Sean Long played the full 90 minutes as the Republic of Ireland U19s lost 1-0 to Norway. He's set to face the Norwegians again on Thursday night.

And finally, Academy striker Lewis Collins was in the Northern Ireland U19 squad as they drew 1-1 with Scotland on Tuesday.
