Andersen and Hector impress

Read up on a news round-up of our Royals out on loan...

Mikkel Andersen continues to impress for top flight Danish side Randers FC during his loan spell, and was selected in the Team of the Week by a national newspaper.

The goalkeeper has played three Superliga games in which his side have drawn two and won one, and has also played for Randers in Europa League qualifying, as Rubin Kazan edged the first leg 1-2. The second leg takes place on Thursday afternoon.

Mikkel had an outstanding game recently against FC Copenhagen, and produced a world class save which can be watched by clicking here (save from 0:21).

On the same day that he signed a loan deal with Aberdeen, defender Michael Hector made his debut against 2009/10 Dutch Champions FC Twente in a pre-season friendly.

Hector shone on his first appearance for the Scottish outfit - heading against the crossbar, putting in some excellent defensive challenges and earning the Man of the Match accolade. @Big_Hec35 tweeted the image below and said "Thanks for the messages, enjoyed my first game for the club good to get a clean sheet & MOTM!"

Michael also featured in Aberdeen's Scottish Premiership opener, a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock.

Meanwhile, Daniel Carrico scored a close range header for Sevilla as they won their first leg Europa League qualifier against Montenegrin outfit Mladost - who came into the competition late after two of their fellow national sides were excluded from European competitions.

Nick Arnold was also on the winning team recently, as he came off the bench to help his loan side Wycombe Wanderers beat Morecambe on their League Two opening game.

Pre-season preparations are now underway for Ryan Edwards down under in Perth - who start their season in October with a home fixture against Adelaide United at the nib Stadium. The Royals would also like to wish Brett Williams all the best after he signed for Aldershot Town.
