Royals set for historic clash

29 August 2013

First ever league game with Yeovil

The Royals clash with Yeovil Town on Saturday will be the first ever league meeting between the two sides.

The clubs have met just once before in Reading’s 142 year history – a 4-2 FA Cup win for the home side at Madejski Stadium in 1999, with goals from Andy Bernal, Darren Caskey, Barry Hunter and Martin Williams.

The Glovers sit 19th in the Sky Bet Championship with three points from their first four games. Reading have sold out their away allocation for the clash, with over 2,000 fans set to travel to Huish Park. Read more here

Odds on the game are available via the Sky Bet website with the Royals 1/1 to pick up all three points, whilst the draw is 12/5. Adam Le Fondre is 5/1 to be the first goalscorer. Full commentary is available on Reading FC Player.
