Pearce confident of Royals successDefender Alex Pearce says our first half performance against Watford shows exactly what the Royals are capable of this season.
Pearcey described it as possibly the best half of 2013/14 Championship season, but was understandably disappointed that we didn't come away with all three points last weekend.
"To get to 3-1 up and not see the game out is very disappointing for us," he admitted. "All of the lads in the dressing room were annoyed at the end, but at the end of the day it is still a point.
"In the first half we were magnificent - but in the second half we just stopped doing the things that made us successful in the first half. We let them get into the game a lot more and we should have stopped that.
"We know how well we can perform, and that first half performance was very good - possibly the best half of the season so far."
With such a strong squad there is fantastic competition for places in every position of Nigel Adkins' side ahead of Saturday's trip to Blackpool, and Alex added, "We've got four great centre-backs in the squad and whoever the manager picks will do a good job I'm sure.
"We've just got to start getting some clean sheets on the board - and when we get one, the whole team will be credited with it.
"It's going to be a tough game (Blackpool), there's no easy games in this league. We'll look to go there and play the way we play and hopefully get the three points."
