300 up for Gunter

18 December 2013

Chris set for milestone

Royals defender Chris Gunter is in line to make his 300th career appearance when we take on Wigan this weekend.

The full back already has 248 league and cup games under his belt, plus 51 caps for Wales, so he is on the verge of 300 games at the age of just 24.

Earlier this year Chris became the youngest Welshman to reach 50 caps as he helped Chris Coleman's side to an impressive draw away to Belgium.

Also in our squad, Danny Guthrie passed 200 career appearances in the game away to Nottingham Forest, while Alex Pearce hit the same milestone earlier this season.

Adam Le Fondre passed the 150-goal mark this campaign, and is 12 away from Jason Roberts, whose 164 goals make him the highest career scorer in our squad.
